High School Internship Job Description
Allan Creasy's campaign for Tennessee House District 97 is seeking interns for spring, summer, and fall semesters in 2018. Interns will play a vital role in determining a successful campaign outcome. Interns will participate in a variety of campaign-related activities and gain real-world experience related to the following:
- Event planning;
- Voter contact/outreach efforts, including phone banking, canvassing, attending community events, placing yard signs and distributing printed campaign materials;
- Marketing-related tasks, including social media marketing and targeted advertising;
- Organizational tasks, including data entry, and campaign calendar management;
- Research, including community events, and community organizations;
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Applicants should display the following abilities, interests and skills:
- Strong interest in gaining political or campaign experience;
- Computer skills, including G Suite (Google Office Suite);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Attention to detail;
- Flexibility in an ever-changing environment.
District 97 residents are strongly encouraged to apply, and bilingual English/Spanish speakers are strongly encouraged to apply (regardless of district of residence).
Applications for Spring 2018 internships are due January 19. Internships will also be available in the summer and fall of 2018.
