AP class info night
Students!
If you are interested in taking an AP Class at WSHS, there is an information meeting next week, that will be held on February 23rd at 6pm in the auditorium.
You do NOT have to be enrolled in Honors classes in order to be eligible to take AP classes.
At the meeting they will go over the requirements to get into the classes as well as the general requirements for the classes once you are accepted to an AP class.

The project is due March 2, 2015.
If you turn it in on March 3, the highest grade you can make is a 90.
If you turn it in on March 4, the highest grade you can make is a 80.
If you turn it in on March 5, the highest grade you can make is a 70.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Students and Parents,
On Thursday, February 12, the District has set aside time for all teachers to hold Parent/Teacher Conferences, however, I will not be available on this date to meet with parents.
February 9 - 18, I will be with the White Station High School Mock Trial Team each afternoon/ evening as they compete in the Memphis/Shelby County High School Mock Trial Tournament.
IF any parents or students feel that a conference is needed, we can certainly schedule that outside of the competition time period.

Bonus Quiz!!
Ladies and Gentleman,
I will be offering to you a bonus quiz.
Here is how it will work:
You will have the last 15 minutes of your class period on thursday to take and complete a 15 question quiz on the cell membrane. I will offer no study guide as the notes and other class materials are still available to you on the blog.
IF you do not want to take the quiz, that is fine, just say "no thank you."
IF you want to take the quiz, you will need to have a #2 pencil.
Only quiz grades of a C or better will be recorded.

Week 5: Quarter 3 (2/2 - 2/6)
Monday: This week we will begin studying Modes of Inheritance. This is a tough subject and it takes a lot to keep it all straight in your head. Please make sure you take careful notes and keep up with all of your in-class assignments they will really help you in the long run.
Tuesday: today we will start Punnett squares using Spongebob!
Wednesday: continuation of Punnett squares
Thursday: more genetic modes of inheritance
Friday: guess what? More modes of inheritance!!
My internet is acting crazy, on Monday I will link all the notes and sheets we are using in class, I apologize for not having them linked when you are looking at this on Sunday.
Quiz will be NEXT Friday!!!
Please make sure you are reviewing each note and asking questions the next day if you have questions about what we did the day before.
