Dear Parents,
It is with great excitement that I share the details of our first field
trip of the year! On September 26, 2017, we will be going to Lichterman Nature
Center to participate in 3 activities as culminating work for our Ecology Unit
of Study for the first quarter.
We will depart WSHS at 8am and return
at 1:30pm. Everyone will be expected to attend 7th period,upon our return to the school, and will be responsible for any missed work with their other teachers.
Col. Bailey and Mr. Nesmith and myself will be the school personnel,
but we will also need 5 parents to attend with us. The cost for chaperones attending
is $5. If you would like to be one of the adults attending, please contact me
ASAP at rkannady@gmail.com and let me
know. This will be a first come, first serve assignment.
The student expectations are:
1. Pay your $10 (per student) by September 19.
(CASH ONLY, please.)
2. Turn in your permission slip by September 19.

Bring your lunch (in a sack with your name on
it) and a bottle of water
4.
Wear a WSHS tshirt and comfortable pants and
shoes.
5.
Jackets are at your discretion, but are your
responsibility.
6.
Bring your phone for use during the iNaturalist
activity with Mrs. Kannady
7.
Be polite and respectful and follow all WSHS
Rules regarding Conduct.
Needs:
1.
5 adults to attend as chaperones ($5, each)
2.
5 LARGE coolers for lunches to go in.
If you are interested in donating the cost of the trip for a student
who cannot pay, please contact me directly, or simply send in the donation.
